Combining coupons with a grocery store sale netted a huge savings

I love combining coupons with store sales! We paid $12.96 on a subtotal price of $34.45 yesterday.  that for cool?

How's Our shopping cart included two small 1/4 hams, two big bags of potato chips and a bag of spring mix for salad.  The huge savings made this one of my better hauls. The hams and potato chips were each buy-one-get-one free and coupons reduced the cost even more. I didn't have a coupon for the spring mix but it was on sale.

We're taking our spoils on a picnic this afternoon. A loaf of bread (sale), some fruit (wholesale club price) and environmentally friendly reusable mugs complete our picnic supplies.

Oh and one more thing about our haul.

This shopping trip was done at Bi-Lo and it added to our fuel perks. These are essentially an electronic coupon from the grocery store that helps us save on gas. If we cashed in right now, we would save .25 per gallon. I'll save these until later in the month.

Speaking of gas... I'd better go now to remind Hubby to fill up on the way to the picnic. See you online again, soon.
