Why I took coupons on vacation

Every dollar saved counts. Taking coupons on vacation isn't as crazy as it seems. I can't think of any time when it is more important to save money than when I am out of town. Money saving coupons go with me no matter if I am traveling for pleasure or for work.

The big reason for taking coupons on vacation is to save money. The newspapers have coupons for nationally known restaurants almost every week. Check the fine print before taking them on vacation. Most of them aren't tied a set geographical area. Unless you see fine print saying not to use them elsewhere go ahead and take the coupons on vacation with you.

Restaurant coupons aren't the only ones to bring. You may as well save money on chips, snacks and drinks that you pick up at the gas station. If a convenient store won't honor the discount there's usually a nearby grocery store that will. Like at home, there are some grocery stores that double coupons. This is almost like finding gold on vacation.

Actually, can you think of any reason not to take coupons on vacation?
